The Concept

Your creature IS a neural network

Most games simulate AI. SoulGlitch runs it. Every creature's brain is a real Loom neural network — trained, mutated, and evolved on your device.

Design the brain

Choose the architecture: Dense, CNN, LSTM, Transformer heads. Pick the precision (FP32 for smart, INT4 for fast). This defines your creature's "DNA".

Train it to survive

Put your creature in an environment. Food = training reward. It learns movement, perception, and goal-seeking through exposure — not hand-coded rules.

Evolve milestones

Hit training targets and your creature earns evolution points. Attach new limbs, sensory nodes, or power modules. Each attachment changes how the network perceives the world.

Emotions & personality

A softmax emotion array responds to what you feed your creature — images, sounds, interactions. Feed it aggression; it becomes competitive. Feed it cooperation; it builds.

Build civilizations

As your species matures, they progress through civilization stages — from primitive survival to space-age colonies. They place blocks, build structures, explore.

Phase 1 — Digital Primordial Soup v0.1 – v0.3
The Core Loop: Logic, Inference, Testing
v0.1 — Selection screen: choose architecture (CNN, Dense, MHA), size, estimated device capacity
v0.2 — The SoulGlitch: introduce the "Soul" (the bridge). Offline LLM logic so creatures perceive the voxel world
v0.3 — First steps: physics-based movement driven by neural net output. Expect weird, clunky, emergent walking

Growth and Training
v0.4 — The Food Chain: training success = food = XP. Creatures need to learn to feed themselves
v0.5 — Attachment System: first evolve events unlock new limbs, sensors, and power nodes
